Economic and Skills Development Partnership
Bracknell Forest
The ESDP is a business-driven partnership, supported by Bracknell Forest Council. It’s aims are to:

provide a co-ordinated voice and support to Bracknell Forest’s local business community;
-
represent the local business community in responding to central and local government consultations, and in seeking funding for business initiatives;
-
develop strong working relationships with organisations such as the local authority, Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), Berkshire Growth Hub, Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce; and
-
deliver initiatives that benefit the Bracknell Forest business community.
All businesses in Bracknell Forest are welcome to participate in the ESDP’s activities. There are no fees involved. Members include businesses of all sizes from across Bracknell Forest.

The ESDP is currently working on an exciting new project to build a 'Skills and Training Hub', a location where dedicated workers can assist training providers, employers and trainees on meeting their goals in terms of training and skills

This will aid the economic growth and recovery of all businesses in Bracknell Forest
ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGERS

The ESDP has been working closely with businesses and business representatives to support the installation and promotion of electric vehicle chargers around Bracknell Forest.

This project aims to increase the availability and accessibility of electric vehicle charging points
PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

Sponsoring and supporting the annual photography competition run by Bracknell Forest Council. Photos from last years competition can be viewed here
SUPPORTING YOUTH EMPLOYMENT & SKILLS SCHEMES

Engaging with Bracknell Forest Council, the Thames Valley Chamber, Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) on promoting government schemes

Engaging with education providers, such as Activate Learning, schools, colleges and the higher education sector

Creating opportunities for young people to engage in work ready activity to develop skills for the workplace

Co-ordinating and disseminating information from organisations such as the Thames Valley Berkshire LEP (Berkshire Opportunities), the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), Learning to Work, The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Chamber of Commerce/ Bracknell Local Advisory Group

Promotion of active travel routes to increase awareness of them and encourage walking and cycling

Identifying and signposting opportunities for training for small businesses
